In keeping with his mission of advancing music education, Flea is donating signed Fleabass guitars to the Silverlake Conservatory of Music. Fleabass guitars, which come in Junior and Full-Scale sizes and colorful, high-gloss finishes, are designed by Flea, the world-renowned bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and President/Founder of Fleabass, Inc.

In creating Fleabass, Flea's mission has been to provide professional-quality instruments to young players and students of music at an affordable price. The signed Fleabass guitars will help raise money and awareness for The Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a non-profit organization which, through music education, aims to enrich the lives of music students and the community at large. The Conservatory offers scholarships and affordable music lessons to children and families who otherwise could not afford them.

All proceeds from the sale of the signed instruments will be donated to the Conservatory. Keith Barry, Dean and Co-Founder of the Conservatory commented, "The Silverlake Conservatory of Music is happy and proud to be associated with the Fleabass. Describing his inspiration for FLEABASS, Flea said “FLEABASS is born of my love of music education as a studier and a teacher of music, and a lover and a romanticizer of the tradition of it. I wanted students to have an instrument they could fall in love with, and I wanted them to be able to do it with the limited means that most of them have for acquiring one.”

FLEABASS instruments are professional quality and affordable, featuring Maple necks with Rosewood fingerboards, solid Alder bodies, 20 frets, geared tuners, one single pickup, and a signature FLEABASS logo on the peghead. Additionally, each bass comes with a deluxe FLEABASS gig bag and an Instructional DVD featuring Flea.The signed Fleabass guitars will be on sale at the Conservatory until supplies run out.
